AGB Group started a television audience measurement (TAM) operation in Slovenia at the beginning of January 1999. The company is registered as Media Services AGB. At their arrival, the Group found another TAM provider which started its operation in Slovenia 3 months before, using Taylor Nelson Sofres technology (meters, production software and application software). During the first three months, both companies were competing against each other to provide the best services to their future clients. In the middle of April, the competitor decided to stop its TAM activities in Slovenia, and to retire from the market. The competitorís team joined Media Services AGB to create a common TAM Service, by using the AGB Group technology.
